Persuade me!

We're about to dive back into persuasive texts in 4-5 Bender-Joyce, but before we do let's look back at some of the ones we wrote at the start of the year.

Here's one from Annie-Rose about home schooling.

Children should be home schooled

Everybody agrees that children should be home schooled. It’s much nicer for kids to be in their beautiful home with the children’s loving, caring, responsible families. Instead of being at a tragic, disgusting, horrifying school. That’s why you should do home school instead.

Firstly, do you want to lose your money just on school fees? 99% of people say they agree because it is a fantastic idea. You could get a good education if you ever wanted to be a teacher. Home school is cheaper because you won’t have to pay for lunches, school uniform and school fees. That is the first reason why.Secondly, Billy Madison was home schooled and then he became famous. So kids should be home schooled as well. So then they might be famous when they are old enough. Wouldn’t you want your kids to be famous? So then they can be rich and have a fantastic life.

Thirdly, do you want your children/child to be bullied, bashed and come home with a black eye? Children won’t be crying complaining. If they stay at home then won’t get bashed. Wouldn’t you want your child/children to be happy every day instead of stressing out? Of course you would. Home schooling is your only answer.

Children should be home schooled, you won’t waste your money on school fees, loads of famous people were home schooled and now there famous, and they will never ever get bullied. Do yourself/ and your children a favour pull them out of school and do home schooling today.

More art!

We recently entered some of our drawings into an art competition.

We haven't heard back yet, but we're sure the judges were very impressed!

Here are some of our entries.

Pattern Perfection

To get things started, here are some pattern pictures we created at the start of the year.

We used small pieces of coloured card to create repeating patterns, occasionally mixing up the pattern for "artistic affect". That's what Mr Joyce called it, anyway.

We hope you like them.

Click on the "Read more" link below to see all of the patterns.
